The Internal Mirror™
Testimonials
Working with Kelly has had a profound impact on my life. Some of my biggest challenges were anxiety and fear of the unknown, as well as a lack of confidence in myself.

Kelly he helped me develop a “tool kit” to identify my emotions and learn how to cope with them. This has made a huge difference in my being able to deal with negative emotions and stress early on, rather than avoiding them and allowing them to get worse. She also worked with me to build my self-confidence, to the point where I was able to leave a dysfunctional relationship and build a life that brings me joy. When things don’t go according to plan, as often happens in life, I no longer panic because I am confident in my ability to deal with the unexpected.
In addition to listening and empathizing, Kelly also equipped me with the tools I needed to deal with life’s challenges and empowered me to make better choices for myself. I will always be thankful that I met Kelly because my life is no longer ruled by anxiety and self-doubt, and I get to move forward as the best version of myself.

"When I first started working with Kelly Kay I was stuck in a loop of frustration and overwhelm. Things in my life weren’t going the way I wanted, and I found myself constantly irritated, living in a nonstop state of fight-or-flight. I felt lost—uncertain of who I was, what I was working toward, or how to shift anything for the better.
Kelly changed that. She offered not only compassion and deep insight but also a structured and grounded approach that gave me real, practical tools. One of the biggest breakthroughs I had was realizing that I only need to take care of myself—really take care of myself—in order to show up how I want to in relationships and in life. That clarity alone created a huge shift for me.
Since then, I’ve become more confident, more intentional, and more at peace with myself. I still face many of the same external challenges, but now I meet them without the same level of anxiety or emotional reactivity. I come back to the tools Kelly taught me again and again—because they work.
If you’re thinking about doing this work, I absolutely encourage you to take that step. Kelly and The Internal Mirror is a guide for real, lasting transformation. If you're ready to do the inner work and be honest with yourself, you will be met with wisdom, structure, and unwavering support."

Before I started this work, I was at a really low place in my life. I felt completely lost, with no idea of what I was going to do or how to even begin navigating my way forward. My life felt overwhelming, and I was struggling to find any sense of direction or hope.

Through the incredible tools and insights I've gained from Kelly and The Internal Mirror, everything has shifted. Learning concepts like 'everyone has their own lens' has profoundly changed how I perceive situations and interactions, helping me to understand perspectives beyond my own.
Understanding what it means to be 'Emotionally Hijacked' has given me the power to recognize and manage my reactions in moments of high stress.

These breakthroughs have truly empowered me. I now feel like no matter what situation life throws my way, I will be able to navigate through it with confidence and clarity.
Kelly has been instrumental in helping me become more self-aware, and she's taught me the vital importance of pouring into myself just as much, if not more, than I pour into others.

I now feel incredibly resilient and equipped to handle life's curveballs. Kelly is truly the light in the darkness for me.
For anyone thinking about working with Kelly and learning this work, I would tell them that she provides transformative guidance and genuine support that will empower you to navigate life's challenges and discover your own strength.

What challenges, symptoms, or situations made you decide to start this work?
I was feeling adrift and despondent. I knew I hadn't gotten important life skills and guidance in childhood (traumatic loss and parents who didn't have the capacity to guide) and that a therapist would be trained in those skills. I hoped to learn what I hadn't learned in order to have a happier life.

How were you feeling about yourself or your life at that time?
I was feeling sad, hopeless and directionless.

What specific tools, insights, or breakthroughs did you gain through this work?
Through Kelly's guidance, using tools such as the Internal Mirror, I've realized that I have to take an active hand in changing my perspective on day to day life. It sounds strange that a 56 year-old woman would think all people are the same, but I did and Kelly helped me to see that there are so many differences, as well as different ways people respond to the same situation.

How have these changes impacted your daily life, relationships, or sense of self?
I'm less despondent and I realize some of my internal malaise is simply a result of not knowing how to work through difficult emotions. At this point in time, I'm able to sit with loneliness or with feelings of abandonment. I still jump out of my skin and at times I still reach out to others as a distraction from the pain, but I can go a greater length of time and sometimes I'm able to go fully through an uncomfortable feeling to come out on the other side, with greater insight. It means I'm less likely to experience that pain as heightened as before, because going through it causes a subtle shift in how scared I am of that emotion. Kelly teaches how to be aware when you're hijacked by an emotion, and gives tools to help deal with the onslaught.

How do you feel now compared to when you started?
I still get scared and go down dark alleys in my mind, but much less so now that I know more about myself and what it takes to feel good, such as doing a physical activity everyday. I better know my needs now, not all of them, but more than I did in the beginning. I feel more empowered.

What would you tell someone who is considering working with Kelly and learning this body of work?
Do it. Kelly will teach you a boat load of tools to help you with perspective, self-soothing behavior and assertiveness. She'll also teach you about your mind and how to watch it, non-reactively.

"Kelly completely changed my life. I was frankly not living before I met Kelly—I was just surviving.
Don’t get me wrong, my job is still stressful. I still have bad days. But I find joy even in those days because I’m not consumed by constant anxiety.
I am a better human for it. I can be there for other people because my world does not revolve around fear anymore. The ripple effect of Kelly and her program is profound.

-My wife and I were in a state of our relationship that neither of us wanted.
-We were both confused.
-I ‘threaded’ life a bit more carefully. Yes, still triggered by my right/wrong programming because I did start to recognize the foolishness.
-I do believe the Internal Mirror work improved my relationship with my wife tremendously!
And eventually I believe with my sons; forming the foundation of what ‘I’ wanted to ‘say’ to my granddaughter.
-How can I not feel better about my life!
And with that flicker of seeing my True Self, I recognize life is a perfection even if I don’t see most of the time…lol.
- …and how do I feel about myself…
Not nearly as confused…happier to use a word most people understand.
-As a comment working with Kelly; if the opportunity in your life is there, please don’t miss it !

Working with Kelly has been truly transformative. She is a teacher, a guide, and someone who genuinely empowers you with tools and techniques that stay with you. I often find myself returning to what she’s taught me to navigate challenges, or even just to check in with myself, and it’s been a game changer. I’m so grateful for the growth and clarity I’ve gained through our work together. She’s helped me transform the way I show up for myself and for others.

I sought help from Kelly while going through some life changes during my early 20s. My goal was to get ahead of my anxiety before it spiraled out of control. Kelly's Internal Mirror gave me tools to see my emotions and work through them in a neutral way. Her Internal Mirror is not simply a strategy, but the way I try to move through life relating to others and my own emotions. Instead of giving me advice, Kelly guided me through real situations I brought to her.
I can now understand my own needs and care for myself in a productive and realistic way. I've noticed my ability to communicate with my family, coworkers, partner, and even strangers has improved tremendously. I am able to advocate for my needs while still maintaining empathy and consideration for others.
If you're willing to put in the work to reflect and apply the tools I promise you will see a positive change.

After experiencing a traumatic event, I felt overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure of how to move forward. I was carrying a lot of fear and emotional pain, and it was affecting my daily life and relationships. Working with Kelly gave me a safe and supportive space to begin processing what I had been through. Her calm, compassionate presence helped me feel seen and understood, even when I couldn’t fully put my feelings into words.
Through our work together, I’ve gained tools to manage anxiety, rebuild trust in myself and others, and begin healing with a sense of empowerment. I’ve learned that healing doesn’t mean erasing the past, it means finding strength within it. Today, I feel more grounded, hopeful, and connected to who I am.
If you’re navigating trauma, I truly recommend working with Kelly. Her empathy and guidance have made a lasting impact on my life.

Kelly Kay's Internal Mirror has significantly and irrevocably changed the trajectory of my life. Had I stayed on my path of low self-worth, impossible perfection standards and hyper self-criticism, the effects on my marriage and children would have continued generational patterns that I vowed to never carry forward.

Every single one of my relationships has been altered by what I have learned with Kelly Kay and the Internal Mirror—most relationships have strengthened and those that needed to be adjusted with boundaries are now manageable, less stress-inducing relationships.

I have learned through Kelly Kay how to: set expectations, meet people where they are instead where I want or think they should be, truly understand that I cannot change others and give myself grace and forgiveness which allows me to give that to others.

I cannot recommend Kelly Kay highly enough. She is empathic, kind and perceptive.
