The Internal Mirror™
Emotional Coping & Regulation
This course on emotions offers a unique approach to emotional coping
and how it relates to stress.

Most emotional wellness programs focus on the causes or effects of emotions, often prescribing limited tools like meditation, journaling, or yoga. They neglect the deeper question: What are emotions—and what do they truly need? This course begins there.
You’ll discover that while all emotions share a universal need, the way that need is fulfilled looks different for each person.
Just as everyone needs nourishment to survive—but relies on different foods to feel satisfied—emotions require the same foundational support, but in ways that reflect your unique Internal Mirror™. Understanding this distinction is key to building emotional clarity required for healthy coping.
You’ll be taught three essential emotional coping skills, each one personalized to reflect your unique Internal Mirror™.
These skills are applied in a specific order, with each addressing a different dimension of the emotional experience.
One skill targets a critical neurological vulnerability known as Emotional Hijacking—a state where intense emotions override your brain’s ability to think clearly.
This hidden process is often the true source of emotional overwhelm. It’s not the emotions themselves that people struggle, but the loss of control that occurs when emotional hijacking takes over.
Once you recognize this distinction, you’ll see that negative emotions are completely manageable—especially with effective tools.
You'll learn to identify your early warning signs of being Emotionally Hijacked and build your own personalized Unhijacking Plan, helping you respond rather than react to your emotional intensity.
Through a dynamic combination of lectures, guided discussions, partner exercises, and weekly assignments you will:

* Understand what emotions truly are—including a functional definition.
